A note from our founder

My Love Letter to You

Robyn Fleming, Founder and President of Share the Love Outreach Organization

Today, I’m excited to launch the first Share the Love Letter—a personal way for me to share my appreciation for your continued support and keep you connected to the work we’re doing.

Since officially launching in June 2022, Share the Love has reached heights I once only dreamed of and impacted more children than I ever imagined possible. You believed in me, and together, we’ve accomplished what once seemed impossible.

Now, four years later, we’re continuing to grow and make a difference. I want to make sure you’re along for the journey, so I’m introducing a bi-weekly Love Letter from me to you. Each letter will include an inspirational note, stories about the work we’ve done, and a look at what’s ahead.

I also felt it was time to give our website a fresh new look! I hope you enjoy this first Love Letter and take a moment to explore our new online home.

Thank you for believing in this mission, supporting the work, and being part of this journey with me. I hope you’ll stay along for the ride, encourage others to join our mailing list, and continue to Share the Love!

With love,
Robyn Fleming

Nourishing Young Minds: Highlights from Our Summer Book Giveaway

This summer, your generosity placed more than 600 books directly into the hands of 150 children to help them build their very own home libraries and spark a lifelong love of reading. But your support delivered so much more than pages on a shelf—it gave these young learners the confidence to explore new worlds, the chance to connect with inspiring role models, and joyful summer memories that will last long after the season ends.

Here is a glimpse of the magic you helped create this year:

  • Elementary Students met local authors in person, heard firsthand what makes storytelling so special, and took home autographed books as raffle prizes.
  • Middle Schoolers took their energy outside for outdoor games, competing for hands-on Science Experiment Kits.
  • Teens stayed engaged with exciting raffle prizes like restaurant and movie gift cards.

This wasn’t just a day of giveaways; it was a day of connection. CORE Georgia joined us to deliver vital health and community resources directly to local families.

We extend a heartfelt thank you to our event sponsors, Cobb EMC Foundation and GreyStone Power, whose partnership made this event possible.

Celebrating Our Authors

Thank you to the incredible guest authors who joined us in person, as well as the featured authors whose generous book donations enriched our event:

  • Dr. Marrielle Myers Marlee Loves Math
  • Jameson Mason I Don’t Want to Go to School
  • Shymara Medina Zeke Becomes a Beekeeper
  • Dr. Charnetta Williams Penelope and the Power of Positivity
  • Mayra Cuevas My Abuela Is a Bruja
  • Karen Strong Cool Awkward Girl, The Secret Dead Club and Eden’s Everdark
  • J.T. Grainger Humans Are Strange Creatures, Marty Magrew Wants a Pet Kangaroo, The World Beyond the Stairs: Mary’s Journey and Holly, the Elf: A Christmas Tale

Together, we are keeping young minds nourished, curious, and inspired—even when school is out. Thank you for making this vision a reality!

Reaching Families Right Where They Are

No parent should ever have to choose between basic hygiene and their next meal. Yet for families navigating housing instability—whether doubling up with loved ones, staying in a motel, or searching for a place to call home—every single dollar must stretch. When resources are limited, everyday essentials like toothpaste, shampoo, and soap become luxuries many simply cannot afford.

That’s why we created the Mobile Toiletry Closet.

Through this initiative, Share the Love Outreach Organization provides school social workers with toiletries to distribute directly to children and families who need them.

A simple bag of hygiene products can bring parents much relief while also restoring a child’s confidence and dignity.

Your support helps us meet families where they are. Because sometimes, showing love means simply making sure a family has what they need for today.

Meeting real needs with real love.

Season of giving

Let Kids Be Kids This Christmas

Imagine being a parent who wants to give your child something special for Christmas, but you have to choose between a gift and the everyday necessities your family needs. Or imagine being a child who learns to put their wishes aside because they know their family has more important needs to meet.

For many families, this is their reality during the holidays. Through our Annual Christmas Gift Giveaway, you can help ease that burden. Your support allows children to experience the joy of receiving something they truly want while giving parents a little breathing room during an already stressful season.

Each year, donors, volunteers, and community partners come together to provide new Christmas gifts to children experiencing financial hardship. Parents share their children’s wish lists, and our team work to fulfill them. This is about more than presents. It’s about giving children the freedom to simply be kids and reminding families that they are seen, valued, and supported.

This Christmas, you can be part of that experience. Sponsor a child, shop from our registry, volunteer, or make a financial contribution. Whatever you choose, your generosity can help bring joy to a child and relief to a family when they need it most.
